Sista

“Sista” was truly made just for fun, and I really enjoyed the process of bringing it to life. I've always loved working with color, and this piece allowed me to fully indulge in that by placing angular blocks of brightly colored fabrics next to each other.

The creative journey continued with the use of my airbrush to create the braid and add another layer of visual interest. To bring everything together and provide a cohesive look, I added the circles with acrylic paint at the end. I posted a photo of this piece on intagram and asked for names. The name “Sista” came from a friend and I thought it was perfect.
