Bio
Art has always been an integral part of Michelle's life. After graduating from The Fashion Institute of Technology, she began her career as a women's lingerie designer in New York City. In 2004, she seamlessly blended her passion for quilting with fashion, leading to the creation of wearable art patterns.
Michelle's deep love for color and her drive to explore new creative avenues quickly led her into the world of art quilts. She often shares that this is where she feels most at home, using exaggerated color to capture moments and tell compelling stories through her fiber art. For Michelle, the most enjoyable aspect of her design process is meticulously choosing just the right "tweak of color" to guide viewers to see or feel precisely what she intends. Her quilts have garnered numerous awards and have been featured in various exhibits, galleries, magazines, and books. Beyond her artistic creations, Michelle also teaches and lectures on the powerful use of color and light to convey narratives in fiber art.
