Welcome to Quilt Fashions!
To send light into the darkness of men’s hearts- such is the duty of the artist.
- Schumann 1856
I think of myself as an artist who chooses to paint in fabric. I have chosen fabric with its warm and tactile nature, already fashioned in color, pattern and texture. It’s my job as an artist to cut and position fabric pieces to capture a moment in time and experience that speaks to the viewer.
Hope you enjoy – Michelle Jackson
Look for my Color Class on “The Quilt Show” starting March 27th. There will be a total of eight classes; one per week and they’re all about color! Now you can learn just how I use color and how you might use it too! Post your class pieces and share comments with fellow students! We’re having soooo much fun!
Thank you, for the all the wonderful and encouraging emails about the show and my work! My new one day workshop is now posted for those of you wanting me to come to your neck of the woods to share my color stories!
Did you know that I do commissions? I would be happy to work with you to make something special just for you using your photos or mine. Send me an email to start the process.
